The satisfaction of seeing a plant grow and flourish with your own hands is enough to explain why it's important to cultivate a garden with your children. But there are many more reasons. It's the simplest way to reconnect with natural rhythms and the values of farming education: the seed opens, grows, and bears fruit thanks to two fundamental ingredients: patience and responsibility. What better lesson to teach?
An afternoon with an aperitif served directly in the cherry orchard of our organic farm, Tenute D'Onghia. The cherry will be the main ingredient of the menu. The special atmosphere of the agriturismo, with only natural light. One unique table for a simple and informal dinner, prepared by a chef with our organic products.
Organizing a sunset dinner has never been easier. After a walk among the trulli of Alberobello or the rocks of Matera, choose from our proposals what best suits your idea of an evening. Pick up the basket with all the necessary items for your dinner, choose the view of our Tenute (under the olive trees, on the picnic-style lawn, in the woods, ...) to spend moments of relaxation while enjoying our organic products.
Tenute D'Onghia stands out for its organic fruit and vegetables harvested directly from the fields of Gioia del Colle. Participants arrive at the farm and pick their own cherries in the baskets we provide under the supervision of experienced pickers who explain the picking techniques. The fruit will be weighed on exit from the field.
An experience that will take you directly into the symbol product of Gioia del Colle: DOP mozzarella. Expert hands will show you live the creation of the various types of stretched curd cheese with a small explanation and, finally, a delicious tasting.
A special day to get to know one of the oldest and most precious foods of the agricultural tradition in Puglia. After a visit to the organic olive grove in the bio farm Tenute D'Onghia where the main characteristics of the plant will be illustrated, we will play with your senses to discover the organoleptic properties of extra virgin olive oil. Finally, we will put one of the many uses of oil into practice by creating a natural product: a soap that you will produce to take home as a memory of the experience.
A didactic activity designed to let today's children experience the beauty of playing outdoors in close contact with nature. An afternoon on the farm discovering our grandparents' ancient games such as the bell game, the four corners game, the empty chair game, and many other games created using the infinite tools that nature offers us.
